Denmark: Translators Associations from the homeland of Hans Christian Andersen

TRANSLATION ASSOCIATIONS EUROPDenmark is the southernmost of the Nordic countries, located southwest of Sweden and south of Norway. It is a constitutional monarchy and sovereign state that consists of the main land in northern Europe and two autonomous constituent countries, the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic and Greenland in North America. The country of Hans Christian Andersen and director Lars von Trier has been known for being one of the most socially progressive cultures in the world.

Lexis estimates there are at least 5 national translators associations in Denmark.

One of the most important interpreting and translation associations in the country is DOF. Another Danish translators association is the one that unites authorised translators, ADAT. There is also a state authorised interpreters and translators association called DT. DFF is the translators association of the Danish Authors Society and KS is a communication professionals and translators association.

In addition, international translators association AVTranslators has its headquarters in Denmark.
