Cape Verde: A heavenly archipelago in coastal West Africa

Translators Associations Africa: Cape VerdeCape Verde is an archipelago of volcanic origin, consisting of ten islands. The African island country was discovered in 1460 by Diogo Gomes at the service of the Portuguese crown. He found the islands uninhabited and seemingly without evidence of previous human presence.

The country was a colony of Portugal from the fifteenth century until its independence in 1975.
