Gathering translators throughout Turkey under the same roof
The Association of Translators of Turkey (TÜCED) was founded in 1992 and since then has being trying to establish contact with translators, interpreters and translation agencies with the purpose of gathering those engaged in the profession throughout Turkey under the same roof.
With the purpose of bringing an international dimension to the profession, this translators association goes by the name Association of Translators of Turkey.
Membership
All those envolved and concerned with the profession of translation can become members of this translation association, whether they are individuals or organizations, such as translation agencies or translation companies.
If you’re interested in joining TÜCED, this is what you need to know: the applicants have to be qualified to exert civil rights, be over 18 years of age and not banned from founding an association or becoming an association member.
Anyone fulfilling the above requirements and willing to become a member of this translators association can apply for membership, including foreign translators - these can apply for membership as long as they hold a residence permit. All that’s needed is to fill out the proper form and pay the enrolment fee.
The annual subscription fee is to be paid once every year in January, and is 50 $.
The association’s Board of Directors will inform you about the outcome of their evaluation within a maximum of thirty days.
Keep in mind that the official language of Turkey is Turkish, a language spoken as a native language by over 83 million people worldwide.
