Translators Associations EuropeSlovenia has become increasingly famous for its cuisine, a mixture of three great regional cuisines: Central European, Mediterranean and Balkan. It is also known for its winter sports athletes, particularly in skiing. The Republic of Slovenia is a Slavic nation state, situated in South-Central Europe. Its population is of around 2 million inhabitants. Historically, the country’s current territory was part of many different state formations, including the Roman Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, followed by the Habsburg Monarchy.

Lexis estimates there are at least 2 national translators associations in Slovenia.

One of the most important translation associations in the country is DZTPS, which is a union of scientific and technical translators. Another Slovenian translators association is the one that concerns the translation of literature, DSKP.
