Sworn translators and interpreters in Catalonia

Translators Associations Europe: ATIJCThe Association of Sworn Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia (Associació de Traductors i Intèrprets Jurats de Catalunya or ATIJC) was established in 1992 to bring together sworn translators and interpreters.

Founded initially only for people who worked in Catalonia, this translators association based in Barcelona currently welcomes members of all regions, due to the lack of references of associations in other regions.

This translation association aims to represent, manage, promote and defend the common professional interests of sworn translators and interpreters; ensure the ethical exercise of the profession and the promotion and encouragement of education; organize activities and work related to translation and interpretation in the field of administration of justice; promote the professionalism of sworn translators and interpreters.

All candidates who have been certified as sworn translators or interpreters by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government or other agencies that are accepted by ATIJC can apply for membership.

On the website of this translators association, you’ll find a directory of sworn translators and sworn interpreters that’s open to any member of ATIJC that wishes to enroll.

If you’re visiting the website as a customer, you’ll like to know that you can look up professionals by name or work language or just do a normal and general search.

Keep in mind that Catalan speakers in Spain are bilingual speakers of Catalan and Spanish and over 7 million.
