Québec: Translators Associations from the province of Saul Bellow and William Shatner

Québec is the only Canadian province with a predominantly French-speaking population and the only one whose only official language is French at the provincial level. Canada's east-central province is its largest by area. It is also Canada's second most populous province, after Ontario. Claims of independence have been debated throughout time. In 2006, the House of Commons of Canada passed a symbolic motion, recognising the "Québécois as a nation within a united Canada. The name "Québec" comes from the Algonquin word kébec meaning "where the river narrows". The population is of approximately 8 million people.
